i have a pair, Sid and Nancy, they only want each other, not me, i did javea hand trained rescue budgie but not these two. what can i do. love them so much. they fly free, not caged.

I know this isn’t what most people like to hear but the truth is that even though birds are known for being very intelligent and for showing affection towards human beings, they do not need us and they were not made for enjoying the interaction with humans.

However, that does not mean that I don’t understand you. I totally understand your wishes and it is definitely possible.

The way you describe your budgies it seems that they have a wonderful home and are absolutely happy.

Just spend a lot of time in front of the cage and never forget: your budgies enjoy interacting with each other but they also enjoy treats. Guess who has the treats – you! 🙂

Use your power wisely and they soon will start to interact with you.

It seems they have each other and do not need a human touch. They sing all the time and love their fresh fruit and veggie snacks. They have a bird bath that they enjoy about every other week. I wish they did want to interact with me but it seems they are not interested. I love watching them and hearing them sing. Sometimes their singing makes my ears flutter:)
