She is in a cardboard box with little nesting material as she wouldn’t go in there once I added shredded paper. She slept in the box the first night and has been going in periodically to sit on the single egg, although after the first night she has slept in her cage away from the egg. She will not let the male near the nest, although he did go in without her and did not sit on the egg. ( just sniffed it a few times) I’m not sure what to do next as this hasn’t happened before. I don’t know if it’s fertilized as I have not seen them mate.
Any help would be appreciated.
Tracy

Do I need to remove the box away from him and put them in a cage by their selves with their mother ?

I have a pair and the male wont sit the eggs. He is about five years old. Im going to try incubating them for his shift.. thank you I never knew that was an option.
