We have a new budgie in our home. We bought it for our daughter, who we know will do wonderful job as an owner. However…. this bird is so quiet! We have only had it a week and are reassuring her that she is just observing her surroundings. Daughter sings and talks to the bird and is generally taking good care of it. We have looked at sites to see if possibly it is sick or depressed? Bird is so quiet. It does make a few noises when music is played or it hears birds (from the internet). My question: have you ever heard of budgies being so quiet even after a week?
