Recently I had to take my stepmoms african grey + a cockatiel and a canary – due to her illness – he (african grey) has bonded with me which is not a problem – the only thing now is they are in a room where I need to close the door during the day because I am not home and I have 2 x cats and a jack russel – the canary and the cockatiel is fine with this, but the african grey keeps on throwing his food out during which the door is closed – what can I do? – I do give him attention when I come home and then leave the door open and then he does not throw his food out.
